Trio de Janeiro is a Sydney jazz-bossanova piano
trio that endeavours to be a 21st century incarnation of
Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66.
Trio de Janeiro was formed in 1999 for the Sydney
premiere of Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged
Me by drummer Mike Stewart, bassplayer Duget
Hogan and singer-pianist Didi Mudigdo. Since then, it has
been a favourite at Sydney festivals (Newtown Food
Festival, Vaucluse Kitchen Garden Festival, World's
Biggest Risotto), weddings and corporate events.
